I have now sorted all my photo's from my trip into Sort boxes and folders with my Creative Memories Program "Memory Manager" . I scanned tickets, brochures etc and have followed up with journalling. It took ages to get it all the way I wanted and now I have moved it all into Creative Memories Storybook Creator, which is a Digital Scrapbooking program. It has been a while since I have done anything Digitally and so I have my book of Techniques out and trying a few different ideas. This is a possible heading page for Paris!

I have been so slack at keeping my blog up to date! With the Reunion in Switzerland and my extended holiday around the world, I have been busy working to pay for it. Top photo is at the Gala Night and the other is of a group of us at the Monk'is Bar, in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. I am now at home and back to making a Digital Album of my travels and making my Christmas Cards.

For those of you who don't know, I studied Hotel Management at "Les Roches" Hotel Management School, Crans Montana, Switzerland years ago and we have finally been able to organise a Reunion for August 2011. I am getting really excited and have booked the accomodation in the same Hotel that I lived in over 20 years ago! NOW FOR THE DIET AND EXERCISE.

These are just some of the gifts I sent to Sandra A from Stampin Up in Oz for our Round 2 Secret Sister Swap. The 3x3 Box contained notelets and the purple booklet has blank pages for writing notes and is small enough to put in your handbag. I got this idea from Ustamp with Dawn.

My husband was out of work for over 4 months so I had to become the bread winner and try to keep my sanity. Did a little cardmaking and Scrapbooking but just didn't get back to the Blog to post. Sooooo... I plan to add to the blog at least twice a month and may even surprise us all!!

Now that I have the Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 program I have been trying out new Techniques and finding my way around both the Computer and the program. I can't believe how many fantastic things I can do with the program especially as it only costs $79.00 Australian. I have just finished doing a Surprise Album for my brother for his 40th, 62 pages long! The above photo is one of my beginner pages which uses a photo in the title, changed the hue of the background paper and lined up a border of individual chairs and made them all the same size and distance. Look out for more pages this month.

We have had another round of "Secret Sister Swaps" from the Yahoo Group "Stampin Up In Oz". I sent a matching card, bag with cards inside and a box full of chocolates for one of the 3 months. Now that it has finished I can reveal that I was sending surprises to Sandra A who is a Stampin Up Demo, which made me a little nervous but she sent a lovely card to thank me for all the gifts.

In the Yahoo Group "Stampin Up In Oz" we had a 3 month Swap with a Secret Sister. In the final month we were able to announce who we were sending our gifts to. Val West from Queensland was my recipricant and I received gifts from Carol Lutz of New South Wales. This group is a small group, but is very active and both Demos and Customers are welcome!

The Gifts were lavendar soap bundle, note paper folder and tissue holder for your handbag, cards in a holder and card. Each month I tried to use different colours and styles.

A huge box of goodies arrived today from my Swap sister Jennifer Valeri in California. The photo's don't do the gifts justice! A Handbag with 4 girl cards, a Love Banner, Honey, tea, chocolates, Stampin Up bag and Pens, another decorated pen, cards and a beaded pink heart to name a few. The Daisy card is a fold out one . Most of these designs are our Projects for the last Ustamp with Dawn session.

I have used a retired paper and stamp set, but if you go to the gallery in Ustamp there are some great variations.

One Sheet Wonder

On her blog Claire Daly gave a challenge to do a "One Sheet Wonder" design of our own and then use it on some cards. I have taken the challenge and made a few different designs and was thrilled with the different looks I got. Unfortunately I had been working on it in the kitchen, watching T.V and my husband had an accident with a WHOLE CUP OF COFFEE hence only the survivors made this page! The middle cards made with the "Great Friends" Stamp set is very similar to Claire's here.

I ran across this cute little Heart Treat box on Lynn Pratts blog and decided to try this challenge. The pdf. template fits on a 8.5 x 11 piece of cardstock. I decided to go with a simple design using the scallop border punch around the sides and then ran it thru the Crimper to go around the heart closure on top. The flower is made with the 5 petal punch.

Gifts for my Secret Santa with Scrapshare

I was giving a name for someone who lives in Queensland and I had a lot of fun making her presents. The Scrapshare gifts were just for Christmas and it is nice to have a surprise under the tree, especially since I usually buy my own presents and give them to the family to wrap. I just got a message that Jane was thrilled with her surprise parcel, so I was stressing for nothing!

This afternoon my Secret Santa gift arrived from my Scrapshare Partner postmarked from New Zealand. My DD 9yrs grabbed the Chocolates and DS 5yrs took the zip pulls and asked what else was for him! Enclosed was a recipe book, cards, chocolates, tags, a purse notelet, embossed paper and Creative Memories product to name a few.

This gorgeous card was made by Kerrianne Hobbs using the Storybook Creator Plus Software by Creative Memories. The images are printed on photo paper and then she made it 3D by overlapping the angel, star, sheep and Jesus. There are so many applications for this software and I will be sharing more as I learn my way around.

I saw the idea of these cakes on Splitcoast Stampers and fell in love with them. Brave me decided to make them for my children's birthdays. I needed 60 pieces in all and each layer had to be a slightly different size! To make the Zoo Animals I used a friends Cricut Machine and the flowers were from a SU Salebration set.

The crown on top of the White cake was from Janine Tinklenberg "Queen for a day box" idea.

Nikki Stalker, an Australian Stampin Up Demo, has started a Yahoo Group called Stampin_Up_In_Oz and we try to send a RAK Card or Gift once a month to people in the group. This is a great way to share new ideas and it is also fun as you don't know when you will get a lovely surprise in the post. Lets face it the Postman is always so good at delivering BILLS!!

I had great intentions over 12 month ago to share some of my Scrapbooking pages and cards I have made. Some will be CASED ideas and I hope I can remember where the inspiration has come, if I don't and you do please leave a comment so I recognise the artist.

Tonight I started a 4 week course on the "Storybook Creator Plus Software" from Creative Memories and have a very sore brain! Partially due to a Laptop that is too slow. Figgy Pudding Christmas Questions!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? When someone has taken the time, money and effort to think of me, buy/make me a present and give it to me - it really doesn't matter how it's presented. Having said that, paper or bag, it's always extra special when the giver has added extras - tissue paper, bow, ribbons, straw etc.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. Michael wanted a real tree when we first got together but I found that it gave me Hayfever so back to the original!
3. When do you put up the tree? We try to put it up at the beginning of December
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually in the first week of January
5. Do you like egg nog? No.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Bike, Barbies,?? Not sure
7. Do you have a nativity scene? No, it's something I'd like to have but all the one's I fall in love with are TOO EXPENSIVE!
8. Hardest person to buy for? Michael
9. Easiest person to buy for? Daughter as she usually has a long list!
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I always sent LOTS. Emailed the Creative Memories ones and then posted the rest. Sometimes include a Newsletter about the Clan.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Cheap Perfume
12 . Favorite Christmas movie? Miracle on 34th street...
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I shop all year round. I have a place where I keep all these gifts. However, as the children grow, and their tastes change throughout the year I'm tending to shop closer to Christmas.
14 . Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Rays Christmas Pudding with Brandy cream sauce, Rum Balls with extra Rum
16 . Clear lights or colored on the tree? We have coloured...for no particular reason.
17. Favorite Christmas song? I like lots of them. I don't like to sing silent night - although I do like the words. I don't like it when people sing common songs in a way that makes it hard to sing along.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Christmas Day is usually at our house but we travel for the Carlyle Christmas which is the weekend before Christmas
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? ...maybe....
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Old Angel, need to look for something NEW
21 . Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning. We have opened some Christmas eve if we have lots from out of town..otherwise it's too overwhelming on Christmas day.
22 . Most annoying thing about this time of year? Impatient and rude people at the shops!
23. Favorite Christmas ornament? I have a new favourite every year!
